About
Andy
I was born and raised in the small town of Sonoma California. As a child I grew up watching races at the Sonoma County Fair. In High School I learned how to balance my time between school and going to the races at Golden Gate Fields. I got my first job at the track as a groom while attending City College of San Francisco. Like many people my passion for racing began at a young age. I currently live in Walnut Creek with my two children Casey and Mackenzie.
I began my training career in 2001. Later that year I won my first race with a mare named Recklesswarrant at Fairplex. I’ve spent the majority of my career between Bay Meadows and Golden Gate Fields in Northern California. I’ve been spending my summers in Del Mar since 2013. I take pride in developing both young horses and older ones as well. Some of my top horses include Jimmy Blue Jeans, The Spiral Jetter, Mikes Tiznow, and Give Me the Lute.
As a TOC Director, I am committed to bringing awareness and support of Northern California racing. Sustaining racing in Northern California is one of my top priorities, and I am looking forward to working with the TOC Board and other industry leaders to achieve successful racing in Northern California.
