Arcadia, CA: The Horse Racing Women’s Summit (HRWS) will host Meet Up at the Breeders’ Cup on Tuesday, November 1 at Keeneland Race Course as a follow up to the very successful inaugural Horse Racing Women’s Summit at Santa Anita Park this September. Meet Up at the Breeders’ Cup will feature an address from Keeneland President & CEO, Shannon Arvin, and a panel including women of the Breeders’ Cup organization.
In addition to hearing from informative speakers, attendees will have the opportunity to network and discuss relevant topics in a small group format. Tickets include access to the Breakfast at the Breeders’ Cup Presented by WinStar and Keeneland on Tuesday morning. Participants are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy breakfast while viewing training at the historic track.
The Meet Up at the Breeders’ Cup is the first in a series of events to be rolled out as a follow up to the inaugural Horse Racing Women’s Summit. These events are designed to build on the momentum of the inaugural Horse Racing Women’s Summit and cultivate opportunities for women to engage, innovate, and invest.
“We began the Horse Racing Women’s Summit as a singular idea, but the response to it from women – and men – throughout the industry was so overwhelming, that it underlined that empowering women is an underserved need in our sport,” said Stephanie Hronis, HRWS committee chair. “The honest discussion of not only our inaugural summit panelists, but among the attendees from around the country, reminded us that while women have made great strides in Thoroughbred racing, there is still much to do.”
