TOC Director, Nick Alexander, (right) presented the award to his fellow board member, George Todaro, for the partnership of Jerry Hollendorfer and George Todaro, who led all California owners by number of races won for the second consecutive year. The partnership won a remarkable 38 races from 125 starts in California last year, for total purse earnings of $1,033,195.

Their leading earners were Lady of Fifty (winner of the Clement L. Hirsch Stakes) and Zewat (winner of the California Derby and Damascus Stakes).

The award was presented at TOC’s annual membership meeting at Del Mar on Saturday, August 23.
