Dr. Camie Heleski from the University of Kentucky will be discussing Equine Welfare, Horseracing, and the Social License to Operate. This is an important topic for everyone in horseracing to understand in today’s environment. Dr. Heleski will discuss how social norms towards animal use are changing and what that means for horseracing. Dr. Jen Durenberger, The Jockey Club steward at NYRA, is a guest panelist.
